Drawing and Painting on Teabags for Collage

In this article, I show different types of tea and coffee brewing papers and how to draw and paint on these gorgeous organic looking surfaces after the brewing is done!

Beetle No. 2 is a permanent marker and acrylic painting I did on a used teabag. At the time of writing this article, this artwork is available on my Etsy shop at this link: https://tristinadietzart.etsy.com/listing/1171071976/beetle-no-2-original-art-acrylic .

You can watch me create the blue beetle painting on my YouTube channel in this 10 minute video:

Brewed tea and coffee bags. The bright yellow bags had ginger & turmeric in them.

After brewing tea or coffee, I let the bags or filters dry, then cut or tear them open and dispose of the tea or coffee grounds, and if needed I even rinse the papers clean and allow them to dry again before using them to draw or paint on.
